Badminton:

What a brilliant season finish for our 11U girls and boys! With both teams in contention for medals, they played a double fixture against UWC East. In a dramatic showdown our GESS squads won both matches 3-2, securing the first place in the boys’ division, and silver medals in the girls’ league. Congratulations on superb 11U ACSIS competitions!

Football:

The 10U girls Final’s Day, hosted by GESS last Saturday, was an all-around successful event with large crowds enjoying a sunny football morning. Ten school teams fought for the Division 1 title, and our GESS girls were right in the middle. In a nail-biting final against Tanglin, they scored a last-minute equalizer, and then went on to win the decisive penalty shoot-out! The 10U boys team came in fifth (of 14 teams) at St. Joseph’s, whereas the 11U managed to win all games at the Stamford Football Festival.

Swimming:

The ACSIS Middle School Championships took place at Nexus on Saturday, 26 January. It was a tough starting field with all international schools sending their fastest swimmers. 30 of our Dolphins competed and represented GESS in exemplary fashion. Most noteworthy was Arielle Oelker’s outstanding second place in the 50m butterfly race.
